Quickstart

With the Laser System addon installed and enabled, you’re just a few steps away from creating stunning laser VFX in Blender. This Quickstart guide will help you get a laser effect up and running in no time.

Load Library

The first time you use Laser System in your Project, you will have to Load required Library with this button.

This will append the required nodes groups to you current project.

Create Default Assets

To ease your prototyping, Laser System is delivered with some utility tools. The "Create Default Assets" is one of them.

By clicking on it, Laser System will create Meshes and Collections to start adding Laser as quick as possible.

Once you clicked, your scene should look like this:

Ico-Spheres can be used as Colliders
Those collections are created to speed up your prototyping

Configure Laser System

  • Check Fire checkbox

  • Set a Fire Rate (e.g: 5)

  • Fill inputs with provided Default Assets

  • Select the object that will fire Laser (here the default Cube)

  • And press Add Laser System button

To test your Laser System, just play your Timeline, and voila!

Laser System is now working!

Pro Tip

You can Enable Bloom in one click by pressing "Enable Bloom" button.
